Michal Šnorek studied medicine at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and health services management at the University of Economics. Since 2006, he has been working as a doctor at the cardio centre of the Nemocnice České Budějovice a.s. In 2013, he completed his doctoral studies in the field of Human Physiology and Pathophysiology and in 2014, he graduated from the Master of Healthcare Administration educational programme. In the years 2014 - 2019, he held the position of director of the department of internal medicine at the Nemocnice České Budějovice. Since April 2019, he has been the chairman of the board of directors of the Nemocnice České Budějovice. With almost 1.5 thousand beds, it is the largest non-faculty and regional hospital in the Czech Republic and with 3.5 thousand employees the second largest employer in the South Bohemian Region. In the assessment of the HealthCare Institute, the Nemocnice České Budějovice won the title of Best Hospital in the Czech Republic three times in a row.
